When we first started talking about doing a 30–year celebration for the original
members of Kapena, we thought it would be nice to end the journey with one last,
original Kapena song. We asked a close family friend, Bo Napoleon, to help us in writing
it and all the Kapena kids contributed to the song whether it was a verse, a bridge or just an idea.
It was nice to sit in the studio, the way we did as children, and watch our dads record together one last time.
I grew up watching my dad and uncles in the studio. I still
remember getting to push the “Big Red Button” at Dave Tucciarone or Pierre Grille’s studio when I
was young boy. Feels good to be able to still hit that record button for my pops!
We tried to bring back that classic, electrifying Kapena sound and we think the results are
magic! Congratulations to my dad and Uncle Tiva and Timo!
